Yes, another item of clothing for Hannah. In my defence, she has almost no summer wardrobe,
and it is quite hard to get clothes that fit her well, so this is the best of both worlds.Shirring also works well for her, as being tall and thin it shrinks in.
Anyway, this dress - it is just a rectangle of fabric, the shirring is spaced a bit in sets of 3 rows, just to make it a bit more interesting. I also shirred the straps for the same reason. To keep the bunching neat I did two rows of shirring on each edge.
Just for something different I used a decerative stitch for the bottom hem. Not all that exciting, but it beats a plain seam. Now off to the next project...

Very cute frock and pants below, may just have to borrow your strap idea if that's alright?!
lol - go for it! I makes it a lot easier to get them the right length... more forgiving.
Sharon, great dress. After a while your DH will say äre you sure she needs this many clothes" just like mine did when I first started LOL.
I love the dress. I actually have a dress with similar straps, I only remembered after seeing your post. Oh, and the model looks really cute too :)
