I am not big on applique, but these outfits just lent themselves to it perfectly.
In both cases, I saw the fabric and decided that I had to do buy it and do something with!
The top outfit has got one petal on each sholder (as shown in the bottom left picture) I am a little annoyed that I did not get a decent photo of the pants from the front, but they have more purple and blue.

For these pants I sewed the elastic in, rather than just threading it through. It was a little more fiddly, but it was surprisingly not much more time consuming than the the other way!
The red love outfit... I finished this one yesterday. Basically the same deal as the blue one, but it does not have anything on the sleeves.

This was my first attempt at a t-shirt. Very simple (the neck is just folded and stitched) but it does the job.
Well, now this is finally finished, I best go do something... Hannah woke early, so there goes my free time!!

Sharon, both those outfits look great.
Those outfits look fantastic. I am so envious of all the things you are whipping up. Good on you.
How adorable! Yes you should be proud, I love them
They are both adorable, but my fav is the "love" one! You've done a fantastic job and I think the way you've sewn the elastic in looks very professional too.
looks fabulous!!! i adore the top fabric, just my colours and style !
I love them! Don't you just love that you can just applique a t-shirt and the whole outfit is completed and looks really nice? I am a big fan of appliques since doing the Thomas one. Well done, Sharon!
They are just lovely Sharon. I like the blue/green one the best! I think the top is just perfect!
I have been doing my elastic just like you and it does make for a very professional finish.
Oh I just read your blog and realised that you made the tops, WOW they are fantastic, well done Sharon!
So sweet!
